Guest guest
Self-Hypnosis For Relaxation With Aromatherapy And Essential Oils By Sherry L. Stoll http:/sherry_l_stoll.trpod.com Self-Hypnosis is a technique where you suspend your normal consciousness to find a state of relaxation that allows your mind and body to recharge. Utilizing aromatherapy with certain essential oils can help to facilitate this relaxation. Single essential oils that aid self-hypnosis include: Clary Sage Geranium Jonquil Narcissus Neroli Osmanthus Patchouli Palma Rosa Synergistic blends of essential oils are also beneficial in bringing out relaxation through self-hypnosis. Below are two different blends that you can make yourself. Relaxation Essential Oil Blend 1: Narcissus 1 drop Palma Rosa 3 drops Osmanthus 1 drop Relaxation Essential Oil Blend 2: Clary Sage 5 drops Geranium 2 drops After you settle on the essential oil or blend of them that you want to use, find a quiet place where you will be comfortable without interruptions. Place one or two drops of the essential oils on a tissue and inhale deeply. You may also want to place a few drops in a diffuser to promote relaxation in the whole room. Next, concentrate on an object or imagine yourself in a happy place. Slowly count to 50 while you keep your mind on the object or place. Close your eyes and keep focused. Then yourself that your body is relaxing and that your eyelids are getting heavy. Tell yourself that they are so heavy that your eyes will remain closed for up to 15 minutes. Tell yourself that when you open your eyes, you'll feel completely relaxed. As you gain more experience using aromatherapy to induce self-hypnosis, you will find that your relaxation will become deeper and more satisfying each time you do it.
