Hi, just a lurker who wants some clarifications. Mouth bacteria

consume sugar and produce lactic acid as a waste product. While

it's true that the bacteria themselves do not cavities, their

acidic wastes contribute to cavity formation. The same point is

true with sugars: they themselves do not cause cavities, but do

feed those bacteria and so also contribute to cavity formation.

So the main cause of cavities is having a sustained, very-acidic

environment in the mouth because it's really the acids that are

responsible for the demineralization of enamel.

As for the other points, I cannot comment because I'm no expert

when it comes to dental health. But I found a cool scientific

study showing that green/black tea does wonders against the

very bacteria that contribute to cavities.

Ivory? I am familiar with the tooth soap

promoted by Chet Day, but Ivory?

Doesn't it taste awful? And how pure is it?

Like, what are the ingredients?

That sure gives a whole new meaning to

the idea of washing your mouth with soap.

I will have to try that, thanks.

I am still using Pascalite, so my ageing teeth

don't hurt, and just for the last week I

am finally getting around to rubbing

my gums with Sangre de Drago, and I am

letting it sit overnight.

It feels great, and as a bonus, my teeth

are actually getting whiter!

Well, they said to use any soap...

so I chose the Ivory since it's supposed be somewhat better than the others.

And no, it' doesn't taste bad at all...at least not to me.

I also try to brush once a week with a mixture of black walnut and horsetail

It is supposed to help with whitening and cleaning the teeth... others have even claimed healing of cavities with it.

I use colloidal silver for my mouth wash....

I've never heard of Sangre de Drago or Pascalite,

What is it?
