headache cures ... any advice?

Dear All,

I have a query and i wonder if anyone can help me with it.

Both my cousin and i suffer from chronic headaches.

Mine are partly due to my eye condition - i am blind - and they often resolve themselves when i lie down in a quiet dark room on my own for a while, i either sleep or daydream and they go ...

But sometimes they don't, and then they are migranes - or however it's spelt - and they can last for hours.

My cousin gets headaches every day at least once, and has had them for years.

Any advice, suggestions, personal stories etc would be very welcome and much appreciated for both of us.

I'm more interested in alternative answers/herbal medicine/the healing arts/old ways/etc than she is, but i may be able to persuade her to try something - at her own risk of course - and i probably would do, knowing full well that i did so at my own risk and in doing so, would be taking full responsibility for that action.

Please help!

Many Thanks

Ayesha

Ayesha, my SIL used to have wicked migraines. We finally found the

trigger, chocolate. Have you gone through everything you do and eat to

see if you could find your trigger. It may be something as simple as

your water. Which my trigger to migraines. I only drink purified

water because of it. Chemicals you inject can do it also.

I know this works, I did it.. If you feel a bad headache coming on, you can

get a paper bag, cover your mouth and nose with it, and breath into the bag

for like ten min..or so.. it will go away?

I do know it works. Not sure why, but it does..

so sorry about your headaches.

A little Lavender essential oil applied to

my temples does wonders for me when I get a headache.

Headaches can have many causes, so the cure

depends on the cause!

Some people get migraines from chocolate or

cheese, or any other food.

Sensitivity to corn, which hides in just about any

processed food, frequently manifests as headaches.

Only experimenting with food can tell if allergy

or sensitivity is a factor.

Using digestive enzymes and keeping the colon

and liver in good working order will be helpful

if this is the case.

Some people benefit from chewing a few fresh

leaves of Feverfew daily. It is an easily grown

member of the chrysanthemum family and

available in capsules as well.

Someone already mentioned Lavender oil rubbed

into the temples, and I know someone who benefits

from Peppermint oil, under the nose.

Always dilute essential oils, no matter what your friendly

YLEO rep may be telling you.

Undiluted oils may be OK in the short term, but

why run the risk of becoming sensitive?

In a totally different vein, structural alignment can

be a factor.

All the liver clearing in the world won't do you any

good if the real cause is that your neck isn't on straight!

Body work is the key here of course.

Chiropractic or CranioSacral therapy, see what and who

crosses your path and feels right.

And then, as always, there is the emotional factor.

Good ol' EFT is free for the trying. Ask me for

a power point presentation that is much easier to

learn from than the handbook.

None of the above may work, but the side effects

are pretty easy to take:

A clean digestive system, a straight neck, and

feeling calmer and more able to cope.
