Guest guest
I can not aford an homeapath right now, none in the area and no clue who could call or how much they would charge, but I know money is very tight here or I would be in the call on this already. Please if you have advice share. I have had a 103.8 temp more on then off for two days. It started as a sore throat, then coughing, with hubby an daughter. Hit me with a high temp. Hubby has a temp of 100 as does our 6 year old, our newborn son is 5 Weeks old, only ever had breast milk except for water once. He seems to be just grumpy. I did some research, think Belladonna will work best and got some at the health food store. 12x and the bottle says take 4 as an adult and then take again ever half hour till better or a max or 6-7 times. The page I saw said does ever other hour for first three and the every 6 hours. How often should I take it and how many? Same question for my daughter and can I give any to baby if he needs it? I took 4 the first time, and half hour latter took 4 more then half our latter took one and that is where I am now. My throat was feeling better till I went down to 1 and not 4 and it is not at all touching the fever or cough. Help Please! Blessings, Kimmy
Guest guest
Hi, just my opinion, but from a quick search, I would think the baby/infant will get it through your breast milk, so I would *not* give him any (congrats on new son, by the way!). Actually I wonder about breastfeeding if you are taking it, since your son is so young. Perhaps someone else here knows. One thing I saw mentioned at more than one site, it will dry up breast milk. http://health.enotes.com/alternative-medicine-encyclopedia/belladonna Wish I could be more help. I generally don't take/give anything for fevers 101 and under unless me/child is uncomfortable with fever. And then it's over-the-counter stuff, no herbal remedy.
