Guest guest
Hello all!! My best friend is suffering terribly from candida (yeast) overgrowth in her body. She experiences every symptom of overgrowth known!!! Does anyone know the best treatment to get this terrible problem under control??? I have started her on an excellent probiotic solution but not sure what else might help her. Please assist with all of your wonderful knowledge & experience!!! Blessings to all! Lisa Hi Lisa! Good onya for getting your friend started on a good probiotic. What is the rest of her diet like? She should avoid fermented food while she is fighting this, including yeast-risen breads. Mushrooms, wine, pickles, cheese, are all no-no. Of course, no sugar and no junk food in general. Any health food store will have an assortment of candida fighting formulas. Olive leaf extract and Pau d'Arco are two yeast fighting botanicals that pop into my head. Tell your friend to be prepared for some misery during yeast die-off. Sugar cravings can be fierce during yeast die-off. What dr. W. Crook called "the yeast beast" thrives on sugar, and will try to make you eat it! Stevia satisfies the sweet craving and helps to support the pancreas, and is an antifungal to boot. Great stuff. Many rainforest herbs have yeast fighting properties. Down in the wet jungle, you either learn to fight funguses, or you turn into one. As I write this I am sipping a tea made with 6 rainforest botanicals, most of them with antifungal properties. Ask your friend to give me an email if she wants to know more. Ien in the Kootenays*************************"Never mind what the book says.God gave you a brain."~A.T.
