Guest guest
Good afternoon! I feel so blessed to have found this group totally by accident today! I'm 57 and was diagnosed in June of this year with Fibromyalgia. I totally believe in all forms of alternative medicine, especially healing touch. Does anyone know someone in the Gatlinburg, TN, area who is a Healing Touch Practitioner? We also spend a lot of time in Fayetteville, NC, where my husband's job has him working a lot. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks so much for allowing me to join your group, and I'm sure I'll learn a lot from all of you.... Blessings, Carol

Guest guest
Hi Carol: My FM is in remission and has been for several years. What I think helped: Reiki Yoga (a gentle morning 20 minutes on video) and/or a stretching for Seniors done to wonderful classical music(also a video) Fish Oil (not a taste I much like but it helps) Glucosamine Chondroiton MSM (go slow to check your own reactions. when my blood sugar was way out of kilter I couldn't do the glucosamine) (I was one of the HRT failure stories but I' m also turning into a success story thanks to groups like this and lots of time and lots of herbs etc) Persist please. People do get well! Patraggedyprim <treasuresofearth wrote: Good afternoon! I feel so blessed to have found this group totally by accident today! Guest guest
Iwas diagnosed with Fibro a year ago. I use only natural medicine for treatment and have had great success. I am on a vitamin regimin. And weekly have a raindrop therapy treatment done with massage therapy included. I see a chiropractor regularly when needed, but at least once a month. Only drink water and teas. Exercise is important if you can do it. I try to walk at least a mile a day. I dont have the sleep interupptions like I used to and can actually function well most of the time. The best part is that I am actively riding horses again!! YEAH!! Guest guest
Hi Lisa, I'm also from Michigan, Westland to be exact. Where are you in Michigan? I noticed that you have dairy in your email address, does that mean that you're on a dairy farm? Asking because I'm looking for raw milk from grass fed cows. Sorry to hear about your illness. Have you heard or read anything about water filters that produce electrolized water? I purchased an Akai water ionizer last month, and it has made a difference for me: gut wise. It produces 3 types of water: alkaline water for drinking, acidic water for wound cleaning etc., and purified. It truely makes a huge taste difference in your cooking, coffee and teas. I would only drink bottled waters before: Aquafina, Dasani, etc.[got tired of buying cases of the stuff ] Once I received my new machine, it comes with a PH tester: I cracked open a bottle of water and to my amazement UCK, the water was turning a yellowish orange color, signifying that it was acidic, not what your body wants. Excellant article: "Alkalize or Die" http://www.sixwise.com/newsletters/05/09/07/alkalize.htm When I tested the alkaline water from the machine it was into the blue colors: more alkaline, which your body needs to survive. It's a good detoxifier. A couple of articles from their website: http://www.hightechhealth.com/ionizer_pdfs/alkaline_benefits.pdfhttp://www.hightechhealth.com/ionizer_pdfs/alkaline_results.pdf I'm not selling anything, just thought people would like to know about these things. I had no idea about alkaline water before I started to search for water filters. I wasn't happy with those Britta or other common ones. I'm sold on this water. I made a vegatable soup with the alkaline water, the carrots, celery and tomotoes held their color and coffee and tea are much smoother tasting too. Here's a good article about bottled water: http://www.betterwayhealth.com/bottled-water.asp Hope this may help you out, since you wrote that you only drink water and teas. Wishing you well.
