Aromatherapy is the practice of using naturally distilled essences of plants to

promote the health and well-being of your body, mind, and emotion spirit. These

essence, called essential oils, can restore balance and harmony to your body and

to your life. Aromatherapy can be experienced through several mediums. Essential

Oils are the purest form and most medicinal in their action.

Essential oils are the substance that naturally occurs in a variety of plants

which grow all over the world. In order to benefit from all the rich aspects

essential oils have to offer, it is important to look at each structural source

as an individual and unique frame of reference. The therapeutic " signature " of

each plant, tree or fruit, is its essence, or essential oil.

Below are the Essential Oils which are among the most useful and valuable for

their soothing and tranquil properties. by utilizing these oils, you will find

benefit both physically and emotionally.

Chamomile, Benzoin, Bergamot, Cedarwood, Clary sage, Frankincense, Geranium,

Jasmine, Lavender, Neroli, Patchouli, Rose, Sandalwood and Ylang Ylang.

Use these oils to sooth in the following ways:

Spritzer: In a spitzer bottle, add warm water and 4-6 drops of two of the above

oils. Shake the bottle and spitz yourself and your surroundings, air, bed

linens, carpets, curtains... (be careful, oils my stain fabrics).

Oil Diffuser: Add water to the bowl of the diffuser and then add 5-6 drops of

two of the above oils. Light a tea candle under the diffuser in order to release

the frangrance into any room. Oils will evaporate fast with the heat, so add

more oil every 30 minutes until room is scented to your liking.

Massage oil: In a bottle, add a base of jojoba, sunflower, safflower or

vegetable oil. Add 10-12 drops of one or two of the above oils. Close the bottle

skin or someone elses skin for a soothing and calming rub.

one or two of the above essential oils. Close the bottle top and shake the

bottle several times to blend the oil. Massage into your skin or someone elses

skin for a soothing and calming rub. Massage into feet and hands.

Calming Perfume: In a roll on bottle add a teaspoon of light sunflower oil. Then

add 6-12 drops of one or two of the above essential oils. Roll on to the pulse

points at the wrist, inside of elbows, neck, temples, top of feet.
