Guest guest
I wanted to introduce myself, I am Gail, and am brand new to this group. I came across this group purely by accident, and I'm glad that I did. I have many health issues I'd like to resolve naturally, instead of the MD's RX way. I hope to learn many new things here and be able to try new things, that will help my specific problems. Although I posted a reply to the Immune System post. I will be brief and list my health issues. IF anyone has any proven natural ways of dealing with them I would be most grateful to hear from you. I have Diabetes, insomnia, high cholesterol and triglycerides, chronic cough, overweight (due to back injury I've gained 60 lbs), peripheral neuropathy (numbness and pain in both legs and feet)that occured almost immediately after my accident, but some say could be from diabetes (I think its from my back injury)and anxiety. The anxiety I am getting under control and off the drugs the doctors perscribed, so I hope I'm on my way with this problem, but am still open to any and all suggestions. Well, that is my list of problems and issues I am trying so hard to find natural remedies to. If any one can help I would be very grateful. Thank you and I hope to hear from many of you. Health and Blessings Gail
Guest guest
My recommendation would be to start with the Blood Type Diet. See http://www.dadamo.com and books by Peter D'Adamo, ND. (Eat Right 4 Your Type, Live Right 4 Your Type, etc.) He has also written a diabetes book. The diet is very good for feeling better in a lot of ways and for losing weight. If the numbness and pain in your legs is from an accident, a chiropractor could probably help with that. Guest guest
Hi Gail, I know you said you've about got the anxiety under control, but wanted to recommend as something to try that I *believe* is OK for diabetics: inositol powder. We used inositol powder very successfully for my son's OCD (obsessive- compulsive) and that falls under an " anxiety " disorder. Others have tried it for OCD, some have success, others don't. It's also used for trich...(long word, LOL, for hair pulling) and similar. Got to go, but thought I'd mention this!
