Far infrared Saunas

Hello Val/CindyI hope that I can be of some help. I have been looking at the ‘far Infrared saunas’ now for eleven months! I have visited the states to look at the different manufacturers and Canada, and have purchased a sauna though Nordic (a good quality name within this country) that has come from Australia.What have I found? Well from all the manufacturers I have found two or three in the states and one in Canada that I would say have a high quality in build, however you then have to think about the cost and the added cost with shipping and of course there not around the corner should you have any problems and or need to use your warranty. All that come from Japan etc are cheap to look at and the quality isn’t really there and the sound system is poor which if you want sound therapy you need high quality. Infrared has been used with excellent results in Japan and very big in the states etc but has been

used for treatment of many aliments in Europe now in Germany for nearly eighty years!The different types of heaters: The infrared lamps (the red lights or red tubes) can damage (burn) the skin if you don’t move around with-in the sauna, shame if you fall asleep!There are tubes filled with volcanic sand but they are less efficient than the ceramic emitters. 99% of the saunas that I have found in the UK though suppliers are, well good but still more of a gimmick if you think you’re going to get exactly what there claiming. For example nearly all the saunas ive seen had the same problems, in the sauna that I have, I have made a few changes the colour therapy unit: the use of coloured Perspex, well you can only really get true colour therapy using acetates or coloured glass manufactured for the stage lighting industry, also SAD can only be helped by using a true white light not just a tube behind a white piece of

plastic, I had a professional car stereo installer put my sound system in. I have replaced my aluminium reflectors with stainless steel (aluminium is toxic) and changed the angle of them, the ceramic heaters (Infrared goes in a straight line so no point in not being angled to where your sitting) for my girlfriend I have changed the seat with wider slats and installed ceramic heaters under the seat to get at, well underneath (no point in saying it can help with your bum and thighs if its not getting to those parts!) installed temperature controlled air intake with pollen filter and an extractor fan to control the temperature to keep it at 48°C nice and comfortable and not a worry for any one that suffers with heart problems. (No need for air purifiers infrared kills bacteria etc). If you are chemical sensitive, order a sauna in white European spruce not the cedar as contains toxic oils also check for plywood in the construction

as it contains toxic glues. Sorry to sound so picky but if you’re buying something for your health i.e. Hypothermic (sweat therapy) for detoxing your body then you need to think about the toxic problems with in the sauna its-self (on this subject it answers the question about the small cheap portable saunas that you sit in with your head sticking out) at the exhibition in the states they all said they were rubbish, but in a more factorial answer you cant achieve sweat therapy as your losing all the heat from your head!The biggest problem I have found is the marketing! A lot of the statements about the products are not only misleading but are dam right untrue which is a shame when it’s such a good product in the first place that works and has been and is used a great deal for the medical industry (we use it for premature babies in incubators to keep them warm).I will stop there but if there are any questions you have

And as my mum said you might as well build your own as you’re so meticulous with you’re the one you brought and have changed so much, so I will and I hope to be ready for manufacture Feb of next year, I just want to make sure that everything does what it should and it is good for your health and not just a gimmick.
