Let's put it another way: how do you make sure you get them all, the ones we know about today, and the ones that will be discovered tomorrow? Nutritional Science is based on taking apart the whole to see how the parts work. It is a fascinating subject and I certainly don't want them to stop. On the other hand, the whole is always more than the sum of the parts. And there will always be more to know about everything. When you get your anti-oxidants from food by eating a large variety of mineral-rich organically grown colorful produce, you are likely to get most of them. If you need an extra concentrated boost of ORAC power, consider juicing, and/or whole foods-based supplements. True confession time here: I do have a vested interest in a line of supplements based on whole wild foods. (I am my own best customer:) Andrea, after working with whole foods nutrition for 7 years now I have learned that different people seem to vibrate to different products. It makes sense, doesn't it? Wild whole foods are live, like people. Not everyone gets along equally well with everyone else. One size does not fit all. However, some sizes fit more people than not. The only way to find out which ones are the best for you and your child is to play and try some. For me and my son, AFA algae, the wild miracle from Klamath lake, was a revelation. Nothing else does for us what it does. On the other hand, my husband gravitates to bee-based products for his B vitamins. One of the most exciting facets of AFA, is that it actually stimulates the functioning of adult stem cells. This may account for the amazing feats of regeneration that have occurred with people who use it. Find out more about AFA by sending a blank e-mail to aquazon Another super regenerator from Nature's pharmacy is Sangre de Drago. It is the sap of a tropical tree that stimulates healing of wounds inside and outside, and is the richest source of pycnogenols so far discovered. If you would like to see if the vibration of the Rainforest agrees with you, ask me off list for a sample of Rainforest Treasure Tea.
