How can we know what's working? part 2

Old man Saturn, harbinger of old age,

paid me a visit a while ago.

It was an interesting episode.

It also illustrates how hard it is to assign

either credit or blame to one particular factor.

To make me old:

*My mother and sister were visiting from

Holland, so normal routines were disrupted.

*I slept on the floor on a foamy that was too thin.

*We ate more meat-and-potato dinners and less

brown rice.

*I kept forgetting to take my usual enzyme formula.

*We ate a lot of ice-cream, my sister's fave treat.

*The weather was cold and damp.

After a few weeks of this my joints had aged

about twenty years.

The back of my left knee, normally the best one,

was swollen and any unexpected movement hurt.

A few times my knees would buckle under me

in the weirdest way. Scary feeling.

If I sat for any time my hips would feel creaky and painful when I got up. I felt sort of stiff all over.

Moving around just took longer than normal.

Yikes! So this is what old people feel like!

So, what did we do to turn around again?

A bunch of things, and each would love to

receive the credit.

*Recovazon capsules, from my Rainforest

medicine kit, definitely helped with the weird

knees.

But for instant topical relief my friend Maggie's

liniment worked as well, if not better,

as Recovazon Gel for a fraction of the price.

*I had a Jin Shin Do treatment.

Did not feel any different immediately afterwards,

but that night I slept particularly well, and that

marked the turn-around point.

So, was it the Jin Shin Do, or the fact that

my sister had left and I now had a thicker mattress

to sleep on?

Who knows? Who cares? I am not doing scientific

research, just trying to feel normal again!

I stopped using Recovazon but am using more enzymes again.

Enzymes are right behind AFA on my "she's-gotta-have-it" list.

Needless to say, no more ice-cream for a while.

Oh, and the sun came out.

I sure am grateful to live in a time when

so much good health information is available.

Celebrating youthful life again at 62!
