Guest guest
The simplest way to prevent an acidic enviroment is to consume less sugar. Wheatgrass juice is very akaline, that may help to balance the ph. -Shelby Tracey Gale [galetracey2002]Friday, January 24, 2003 12:03 PMherbal remedies Subject: Re: [herbal remedies] PH balancing Me Too!! Guest guest
Hi Terrie, Yes we do discuss pH balancing on this list as it is very important in ones health. What can you do to keep from becoming too acidic? Limit the amount of meat you eat to very little or none, Do not eat junk food, cut out overly processed or pre-processed foods, eliminate sugar, sodas, coffee, tea, dairy, processed flour products or any flour products that are not sprouted first. Cut down on starchy root foods and empty carbohydrates. All these foods create mucus within the body. Seriously increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetable (green leafy type). Drink more organic apple cider vinegar, lemon juice and fresh distilled or filtered water and herbal teas. Keeping your body more alkaline assists in the elimination of mucus and toxins from the cells, organs and tissues. Also keeps the bacteria, fungi, and assorted viruses (virii) from becoming opportunistic and wreaking havoc on your body. This is because they do not like an alkaline environment and do not proliferate in one. Cleansing the various organs, systems and body as a whole will make it even easier to keep ones body from becoming too acidic. I do hope that this will answer some of your questions. Guest guest
Hi Tracey, Could I recommend a book? You know I wish I could but for some reason this information is not widely known. At least I haven't found a good concise book on this subject. Most of what I know comes from years of studying the body, how it works and lots of research into what other people have found out. No I cannot recommend one good definitive book on this subject. My knowledge comes from a vast array of sources and my own personal experiences. There are several books that do go into this area: "The Mucusless Diet" by Prof. Arnold Ehret, "School of Natural Healing" by Dr. John R. Christopher to name two that come to my mind at this particular moment. You can find these online or maybe in your local book store. There is also a vast storehouse of information on the internet if you really desire to find out. You know "Seek the truth and it will be made known to you"!! I am extremely passionate in this area of cleansing ones body and what affects wrong choices have on our bodies. I am also extremely interested in ascertaining the truth of totally cleansing ones body and freeing it from all toxins and mucus, at least as much as the environment will allow. Guest guest
Hi Tracey, I am researching that one right now, as a matter of fact. There are several good web sites that go into the use of clays. Check out www.eytonsearth.org for a start. Quite a lot of information and as I recall they do have links to other sites and suppliers of clays. Worth checking out. Guest guest
I, too, would be interested in anything anyone has to say about pH balancing. Everything I find on the net about it is also hawking their own formulas for getting balancing pH, which is, therefore, suspicious. Eating right is always important, but I don't want to be going down a blind alley on purchasing one thing or another. I also heard gout can come about because of drinking alcohol. Guest guest
Hi Dede You'd don't really need a 'formula' for alkalising, just need to eat more alkaline-ash producing foods, more fruit & veges, mineral water, omega 3 oils, etc. You can read more about it here: http://www.althealthinfo.com/2005/04/24/acid-alkaline-balance/ Pauledgetexlady <rbright wrote: I, too, would be interested in anything anyone has to say about pH balancing. Guest guest
Lemon juice will alkalinize. I have tested it with the PH paper. Also, Glycothymoline, a product recommended for alkalinising by Edgar Cayce, definitely works. You can buy this thru the A.R.E. or Edgar Cayce foundation. No hawkers; very legit. Most fruits and veggies alkalinise, as do aromatic herbs.
