A study conducted in Italy this year has discovered that olive oil and sage were " associated with decreased lung cancer risk. Scientists have found two ingredients--one in red wine and another in olive oil--that may help us to live longer. In a small study conducted in France, Fish oil has been found to blunt stress hormones, which increase heart rate and blood pressure,. Three antioxidants--alpha-lipoic acid (ALA), N-acetyl cysteine (NAC), and amifostine (AMI)--have shown " evidence of their potential role in the functional restoration of the immune system in advanced cancer patients, " according to a study conducted in Italy.
