Guest guest
George's neurosurgon just called - he does beleive this is a regrowth of tumor - his recommendation is resection/removal then radiation followup. Goerge is adamant NO surgery, NO radiation. I mentioned, chemo with DMSO - we decided to go three weeks with IPT - adding new chemo drug, upping the dose then do another MRI. George and I feel if we can stop it....from growing, then work on shrinking it we will avoid surgery. The drs. at Sloan no nothing about the treatments we are using - so there is no way they could 'forecast' whether the treatment will take care of this problem. Our IPT dr, has patients with brain tumors...some that are regrowth after surgery - some that are simply in place never having been surgically removed - treated with radiation prior to IPT. One with the radiation treatment had tumor growth during treatment - now on IPT it is halted, stablized and shrinking. Please pray that we are making the right decisions - we know in our hearts that no one goes home before their time, and no one remains once that time arrives. We trust our God in all things.
