Guest guest
Hi, I'm Debi, mother of 3 girls, the youngest at 10 mos I'm still nursing. I have had high liver enzymes for the last 6 yrs or so and they have steadily increased over that time. I am fearing NASH, nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, and my doc will be discussing with me during the next DR visit, next week. (conventional MD) I took some milk thistle before my last visit and my enzymes were a little lower. I'm wondering what herbs/EFA's/other I could take to help me overcome this liver issue. I am also overweight, but have lost 26lbs since Christmas, still got about 50lbs or so to go, have severe Insulin Resistance Syndrome (take Avandamet, 2mg/500mg per day). I would sure appreciate any help with this! The more I learn the more I see conventional medicine offers very little compared to natural medicine! Guest guest
Okay, I read the file about liver treatment (mental note:check the files BEFORE questions :-) ) and here's what I've devised for myself. Please comment if you see a problem. choline (or should I look for lecithin?) vitamine E milk thistle selenium evening primrose oil (I have ezcema, or should I avoid for liver issues?) and daily consumption of broccoli, cauliflower, kale, bok choy, and/or cabbage. In addition, avoid high fat intake and continue to drink lots of filtered water and lose weight through moderate caloric intake reduction and increased excercise. Does this look like a good game plan to avoid worstening liver conditions and/or repair liver as is? Thanks so much!
