Guest guest
HYPERACIDIC: This is probably the most common problem found today, and also among the younger generation as well. There are several major causes: (1) The end product of metabolism is CO2 and water. Thus almost everything we eat will turn to acid in the body; (2) Simple carbohydrates/sugars are extremely acidic foods, as are the majority of meats, coffee, tea, alcohol, spices, and citric fruits such as lemons, oranges, and grapefruit. One might say that these citric acid fruits are actually alkaline in nature. In essence they are, but only when they have been completely vine-ripened. Most supermarket fruit including tomatoes, are extremely acid forming. Apparently this is because they have not had a proper gestation period. This highly acidic condition places a very large demand upon the body to be neutralized. The body primarily uses sodium to neutralize an acidic condition. Many people in this country are extremely deficient in " natural " sodium. This does not include refined table salt, but rather only that which is obtained from natural organic foods such as kelp, celery and parsley. Because of the resulting deficiency, the body is forced to draw upon its own mineral storehouses. Sodium is stored primarily in two places, the stomach and the joints. The stomach is usually the first area to give up its supply of this precious mineral, thus leading to " acid stomach " and the need for antacid. This may signal the beginning of a gastric ulcer or worse. Now, as the body begins to give up more and more sodium from the joints, the joints begin to become rigid, irritated, and inflamed. Thus " high acid tissue " is the underlying cause of many forms of arthritis, fibro myalgia and especially rheumatoid--the crippler. Most people need to be on very low acidic diets. This means avoiding high acidic foods previously mentioned and above all, no red meat or pork consumption. You may have all the fish or fowl you desire. You should remain off these foods completely for thirty days. After thirty days, you will normally atart feeling better and will quickly notice the difference should you begin eating these foods again. This should provide enough evidence for you to continue avoiding these products.
