Guest guest
Kathryn, Sounds like you did a thorough investigation and got good results! There is a lot of evidence (empirical) that the use of flaxseeds is enhanced by combining them with milk products, preferably cottage cheese or yogurt! I mixed equal parts of flax seed meal, psyllium, and Slippery Elm powder. I used a pound of each, mixed them in a large bowl and then bagged them up and saved out enough to use for a week. It took me about 6 months to a year to heal my colon. I used herbal laxatives when needed. I avoided hot spicy foods, onions, acid foods and did alot of alkalizing to my diet. A heaping tablespoon of the mix in a glass of either water or apple juice will stop the pain over night. I took it twice a day. I still use it when I feel I might have some irriation. It is safe for children too. I grind my own flax seeds in my blender. Hope this will help someone. It is easy to mix in liquid. Kathryn , Trudy Newman <t --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
