Diluting them in your mouthwash is safe and effective. The Myrrh, Propolis and Fennel are already in Tom's of Maine toothpaste. The Tea Tree Oil gets added to the mouthwash. Another thing to consider is if you are getting enough Calcium/Magnesium in your diet. Deficiencies of these important minerals can also be a reason for the peridontal issues. Also, not making enough saliva.
