Guest guest
Hi Brenda, You are not stepping out of bounds--anyone can post. And I'm sure glad you did! :-) (I was just wanting to say " hi " to MJH who I knew from a few other lists. MJH helped me out when I had gum disease, which my dentist told me was irreversible. Even my dentist can't believe the improvement now! So, as you can appreciate, I have a soft spot in my heart for MJH and am always delighted when we cross paths.) I have used psyllium husks off and on since becoming ill. Right now, I am trying to HEAL my colon. I think I have colitis. Both parents had it. Here where I live, allopathic doctors don't do testing, so who knows. But my parents said it is exactly what they had. I have started a combo of Culturelle/Primal Defense. The day after starting this protocol, I have had total bowel control and two movements per day. It has been a real miracle. The only thing is I don't know if it will cure my colitis. A girl from another list that I am on, had success in curing her colitis. I am trying to find out more details of her protocol. Can you imagine, a decade of needless suffering? Anyway, I will definitely remember the psyllim husks, as it will fit right into my plan for healing my bowel. (Most bowel programs call for psyllium husks. So if I get additional benefits with stabilizing my hypertension that would be super.) Could you please tell us how much psyllium your husband is taking and how often? BTW, is it just psyllium or is he taking it with the husks, as well? Is there a difference between hulls and husks? Thanks, so much, for sharing this with us, Brenda. My husband had severe high blood pressure and took medicine for about 3 years. About 3 months ago he started taking Phsyllium Hulls (not sure of the spelling) to help lower his cholesterol, as it is mainly fiber. About a week or two after taking it he noticed his blood pressure was normal in the morning when he got up. So he stopped taking the meds and continued to test and is blood pressure is as normal as any persons. He recently went to the family doc for blood test and they checked his blood pressure and it was normal there too. The doctor said well no sense taking meds if it is staying well within nomal range. I did a search on the net and Physllium hulls are indeed good for regulating blood pressure. Brenda
