holding onto our 'rights' & 'choice' ....

I don't normally get on a 'public' soap box, but I wholeheartedly

agree that we need to speak up. During the last decade, I personally

have found several supplements that WORKED for me-that have now been

stripped from the over the counter market... I read and educate

myself, I KNOW my body that I've been inside all my life -- I KNOW

when I need to consult a 'traditional, licensed expert' let's call

them, and I do.. and when I don't.. I don't. I waste neither their

time nor my money.

 

It is the norm for me (as a last resort) to go into a doctor's

office and 98% of the time, I know exactly what is wrong and what I

need--because I have researched ahead of time... and my conclusion

is then confirmed by the dr. My doctor loves me because I am low

maintenance & professional.

 

Anyhow... my point....I feel the FDA (and the dollars behind the

pharmaceutical companies & power of the policians) are doing an

unforgiving injustice to us when they remove from the counter market

supplements, which when taken CORRECTLY and as the manufacturers

recommend, WORK for us!!!! There will ALWAYS be those who abuse and

go to the extreme. Look at what people do to FOOD alone.

 

But HOW FAIR is it to us that we now suffer, and lose good products,

because of these overindulging people ???? It just really makes

me mad... so I highly suggest that we all contact our local

politicians. I sure won't say that my confidence level is high that

it will make a difference, but if we don't TRY we KNOW what will

happen. This is the INFORMATION AGE.. there is so much readily

available information available to us. Granted there needs to be

certain types of 'regulation' however, I WANT my freedom of 'choice'

also.
