Guest guest
Hi, All! I've taken Hypericin oil, orally, for long periods without photosensitivity. My Naturopath has not encountered it in patients using Hypericin, either. The effect is likely dose related, but we do need to know whether it means consuming the whole bottle at once or how to limit consumption. I've taken, on average, 4 capsules, 2-3 times day, with no reaction. I do recall reading that farmers hated the weed, because cows developed a rash from eating it. I'll bet they ate a considerable quantity. There are antibiotics that are fairly guaranteed to produce this effect, at correct doses. Herbalists will often modify potential side effects, by combining different herbs with the desired effect, to minimize undesirable effects of individual herbs. Hypericin has been researched substantially, with much material fairly old--at least for its antimicrobial effects.
