Dear PROVE Texas Members

 

1) If you are anywhere near Austin and can come to the Capitol this

afternoon, the hearing on HB 89, which repeals the conscientious exemption,

will continue hearing testimony. There was not enough time to hear all the

testimony this morning before the House general session met, so the hearing

will reconvene within the next couple of hours immediately after the full

House adjourns (there is no way to predict the exact time). There were

physicians testifying this morning who called parents who are trying to

protect their children from harm from vaccines a " threat to society " . They

do not seem to care about the threat that vaccines poses to your children.

The committee needs to hear from parents who resent that doctors feel that

your children are expendable. We had parents who have vaccine injured

children who were not called to testify yet, but could not stay, so please

come to the capitol extension room E2.036. Even if you just fill out a

witness affirmation form against the bill and then need to leave, that would

still be helpful. If you get here and no one is inside the hearing room

yet, it means that the full House has not adjourned yet. Please take the

opportunity to drop by your representative's offices and return to the

hearing room.

 

2) For all who cannot attend, please make sure that you contact the

Governor, the Speaker of the House, the Lieutenant Governor, and your own

Representative and Senator to oppose HB 89. If time permits, continue to

contact the committee member offices as staffers will relay the nature and

quantity of communication for the bill. Also, now would be a good time to

ask family and friends to do the same. And finally, please keep the brave

family who came today in your prayers as it is not easy to witness such

callous disregard for the value of their children's lives.
