Guest guest
Evening Alobar, > I hardly ever injure myself in this way so I am not sure what >advice to offer. At times it is great not to be able to offer first person experiences or advice. I have only had one or two minor injuries and one was from falling our of a tree. I was in my 20's then and healed up nicely. Don't forget MSM for her, you, and me. I am reading the book, " The Miracle of MSM " . I have taken MSM in the past but not for any specific injury or ailment. I was thinking of you earlier this pm while wading thru the blueberries trying to find the best ones. Some of the bushes are so tall I can't reach the berries. I must have a few hundred gallons going to waste. Wayne
Guest guest
Hi there! A few years ago, I got my finger mashed in a roll top desk, helping a T.C.M. doctor move some furniture. He gave me a bottle of Shao Lin linement to treat it. It was horribly painful, as I had injured it a long time ago, maybe still scar tissue in there. I could not beleive how effective it was! The pain was releived immediately. I was to keep the finger soaking in the mixture of water & linement, but when I took the finger out, the pain returned. I had to sleep with my hand in a bowl of the mixture (didn't pee the bed, thankfully). This stuff is named for the Shao Lin Monks, who are always hurting themselves in their martial arts practice. A few months ago, I sat in a sauna, with a guy who was applying the stuff to his legs. He had just been in a martial arts class in the community centre where I work out, and claimed it would strengthen his bones. Something interesting I've seen, and the Japanese are really into this: Magnets. They come stuck on bandaids, which you then place on a site of a muscle injury. I was with Dr. Shen at a Presentation on magnetic therapy, and he had hurt his shoulder, tried the magnet. It helped, and he recovered much faster than normal. I've seen these magnet bandaids for about $6.00 a box in our Chinatown. These suggestions are fairly inexpensive. If you're always hurting yourself, you could invest in a Tens machine, which interferes with the pain signals. Place electrodes on the meridian, above & below the injury. However, do remember that pain prevents further injury, and is actually involved in stimulating tissue repair. Hope you recover quickly!
