Chelation Therapy JoAnn Guest Jan 29, 2003 19:49 PST

Chelation therapy helps remove heavy metals such as lead, calcium, and

aluminum from the body.

If started early, chelation therapy has shown very encouraging results.

The benefit of chelation is that it provides an alternative means of

treating blocked arteries in a preventive way, prior to emergency

situations for which bypass surgery may be the only solution.

Chelation has restored victims of severe angina to health, with complete

freedom from pain and vastly improved tolerance for exercise. Many

reported an improvement in intellectual function as chelation therapy

improved the circulation to their brains.

Chelation therapy is aimed at stripping lead, aluminum, mercury,

cadmium, and unwanted calcium deposits from the arteries and other parts

of the body in a way that allows these materials to be excreted through

the kidneys.

To accomplish this, physicians administer an amino acid solution called

EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid)

Through an intravenous drip into the bloodstream for about three hours,

2 to 3 days a week.

The number of treatments would be suggested by the physician, but

usually 20 to 30 treatments are administered.

The word “chelate” comes from the Greek “chele” which refers to the claw

or lobster, implying a firm, pincer-like hold. EDTA floats past a

hardened area in a blood vessel, and its strong attraction for

lead causes it literally “to pick up” the offending mineral and pull

it out of the area!

The treatment is given by member physicians of the American Academy of

Medical Preventics (AAMP) in medical centers across the nation.

Approximately six million infusions have been administered in the U.S.

solely for the purpose of reversing degenerative diseases associated

with hardening of the arteries.

In the past twelve years of record keeping, not one death has occurred

due specifically to chelation therapy when it has been administered by

physicians who followed the standard protocol established by the

American College of Advancement in Medicine.

To find a physician who is trained and competent in chelation therapy,

contact the ‘American College of Advancement in Medicine (ACAM), 23121

Verdugo Drive, Suite 204, Laguna Hills, CA.

Or phone (714) 583-7666 or (800) 532-3688.

ACAM lists more than 2,000 doctors across the nation who administer

chelating therapy.

“Chelation Therapy”: One of Medicine’s Best Kept Secrets!

In this article by Gary Null, it was reported that chelating has also

been shown to help multiple sclerosis, arthritis, macular degeneration

(a disease that causes blindness) hypertension, diabetes, and adverse

reactions to environmental pollutants!

Chelating has restored victims of angina to health, with complete

freedom from pain and vastly improved tolerance for exercise.

The American Medical Association and pharmaceutical and health insurance

industries stand in opposition to the therapy.

Yet, the Food and Drug administration has approved EDTA!

Chelation therapy is a procedure that costs about one-tenth what bypass

surgery does, has minimal risk factors associated with it, and causes

very little, if any pain.

It has a growing reputation as a “treatment of preference” for blocked

arteries.

The benefit of chelation is that it provides an alternative means of

treating blocked arteries, prior to an emergency situation for which

bypass surgery may be the only solution.

The medical literature contains some 10,000 articles about chelation, of

which 1,800 were clinical studies. All describe favorable results.

H. Richard Casdorph, M.D. Ph. D. Diplomat of the American Board of

Internal Medicine, has been at the forefront of chelating therapy and

uses it daily in his practice in Long Beach, CA. I discussed chelation

with him and he told me that clinical studies on chelation have

documented directly the effectiveness of this therapy in treating

sclerotic heart valves, stroke, senility, and even Alzheimer’s disease.

Studies have shown that the basis of most of these problems is poor

circulation caused by hardening of the arteries.

Originated for Lead Poisoning

The therapy originated in Detroit, Michigan, in 1948 as a means of

treating victims of lead poisoning.

Physicians found that after the treatments, their patients showed marked

improvement in their arteriosclerosis.

Further experimentation resulted in the treatment we know today.

More information is available in several good books:

“The Chelation Way” by Dr. Morton Walker, Toxic Metal Syndrome, by Dr.

Morton Walker and Richard Casdorph, M.D.,

“Bypassing Bypass, New Techniques of Chelation Therapy”by Elmer

M.Cranton, M.D.

Please note: If there is no doctor that provides this service in your

area, oral chelation kits are readily purchased in most health food

stores for a rather nominal price! These usually consist of a variety of

supplements taken with Aloe Vera Juice and work just as well!
