Hi Cathie;

This is closely tied...

Unless you're researching vitamin E megadosing for strictly academic

reasons, you may like to know that all the antioxidants work

together, and while vitamin E is external to the body and not

essential, the body's naturally-occurring master antioxidant and

detoxifier glutathione recharges and recycles the rest of the

antioxidants, including vitamin E. And glutathione is absolutely

essential; even if you have lots of other antioxidants, without

glutathione you die.

When glutathione is even low, disease is always the result;

conversely, disease tends to vanish when those levels are kept high.

Glutathione has been well researched; 30,000 studies, and 20,000 in

the last 10 years. Glutathione presursors and its action is explained

in the FDA website.

http://www.fda.gov/ohrms/dockets/ac/00/slides/3652s1_05/sld001.htm

and also in the medical archives such as Medline. And though its

precursors are natural products, the precursors are listed in the

Physician's Desktop Reference for Pharmaceutical Drugs; they can be

prescribed and covered by Medicare and Medicaid.
