Guest guest
--- JoAnn, I was reading your excellent (as usual) article on ulcers and it mentions the herb lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) which I use daily. It contains polyphenols, tannins and flavonoids and the actions are ~ sedative, anti-depressant, relaxes peripheral blood vessels, relaxing restorative for the nervous system, antiviral, carminative and antispasmodic. I have some lemon balm tea bags made in Germany, and if I drink the tea and sprinkle some lemon balm essential oil on my pillow, I couldn't stay awake if I tried and I wake up about 7 hours later feeling refreshed. For people whose grey matter is getting a bit rusty, it works wonders with the addition of Ginkgo Biloba ... but I can't remember where I put it ! Ray.
