THESE DOCTORS NEED TO HAVE THEIR HEADS EXAMINED This is really sick. Now that women have discovered they were violated by the conventional formulas of hormone replacement therapy, including the wonderful recipe involving horse urine, they now must be subjected to conventional medical stupidity that rivals the worst of anything I've come across. They are now actually being told that anti-depressants are the key to helping them navigate the symptoms of menopause. Yeah, sure give them all anti-depressants, those wonderful side-effect- free medications that maybe they should nibble on while having tea. This latest " study " published in the Journal of the American Medical Association is essentially an ad for drug manufacturers, so that they can greatly extend their market for anti-depressants. It's bad enough they have convinced the dumbest of doctors to hand these pills out to just about anything that moves, but now we are going to see GPs and every other ilk of doctor handing out prescriptions for Prozac, Paxil and Zoloft. Why bother doing the study? Why not simply ask Big Brother to order everyone from the age of 1 week to go on these SSRI drugs. I'm sure they'll manage to deal effectively with every conceivable symptom that has ever been described. I mean, why fool around? Dr. Vered Starnes and his colleagues who did the study at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore even contend (according to an ABC News report on this extraordinary and amazing and top-dog and revolutionary and breakthrough study) that antidepressants are more promising than other forms of alternative therapies. How do they know that? Are they psychic? Or maybe they are on antidepressants and are hallucinating. Where is the science? And how do antidepressants compare with bio-identical hormone replacement? Or do they even know what this means? If they do, they better have some science that shows Paxil, or whatever, will be more beneficial for women than hormones that are not synthetic and not made of horse urine. And as for their study, I think to hang any comment on it, as they have done, qualifies them for the SCREAM OF THE YEAR competition. This is medicine at its worst. Ditto for the health reporting on this study. One word describes both: pathetic. ** NICHOLAS REGUSH UNPLUGGED! http://www.redflagsweekly.com/taped_interview.html A PROVOCATIVE, HARD-HITTING, SURPRISING 60-MINUTE TAPED INTERVIEW WITH RFD EDITOR, NICHOLAS REGUSH --- Gettingwell- / Vitamins, Herbs, Aminos, etc. To , e-mail to: Gettingwell- Or, go to our group site: Gettingwell Free online calendar with sync to Outlook.
