How too many vitamins can damage (not!) !

Hi Alobar,

I'm back, was offline for a couple of days. I can identify with over-worked &

stressed too.

I haven't heard of glyburide. I've been told that drugs mainly the Premarin

and Nsaids didn't cause highblood pressure and heart attacks. They do!

I'm looking for alternatives to the arthritis type drugs for Ankylosing

Spondylitis and nutritionals that will help rebuild bone and disc/cartilage. I

was told by my Rhematologist that there are no such things. That was over 10

years ago. And I believed him. Since then my spine has deteriorated disc and

vertebrae to the point that sitting standing for any length of time is not

possible. I know how pain in your muscles, bones and joints can make for

sleepless nights. had another one of these last night.

I'm on the Kombucha list too. Just started brewing k-tea. I'm hoping that will

help some.

On the positive side. I'm only taking 2 prescription drugs and 1 over the

counter allergy tab. Dayhist 1, one of each. I was taking 12 some of them 3

times a day at the start of the year.

I've lost 40 lbs and can dress myself again. Still over 250 lbs. I've

decided to prove my doctor wrong. He said that with Ankylosing Spondylitis I

would eventually become immobile and I was almost there a year ago. Now to get

some sleep.

Have a great day!

Tawny

I did not intend to shoot down the messenger, Tawny, just the

message. I am very much over-worked & over-stressed these days. I

just get so mad when the docs told me I complained too much over the

pharm drug side effects of the glybburide I was on (stabbing pains

every time I swallowed a bite of food or a gulp of water, stabbing

pains along shin bones when trying to get to sleep, etc) and other

so-called experts say there are serious side effects & dangers from

vitamins. If those folks used the same criteria for judging the

dangers of pharm drugs, they would be warning people away from every

one of them. But they do not. They say supplements are dangerous,

but the pharm drugs are not -- which is just a damn lie. And that

pisses me off.

>Hello Tawny,

I dont know whether this would help but have you

tried Glucosamine. It helps to rebuild cartilage and

soft tissue. It takes about a month though before you

start feeling any improvement but i know several

people and a dog that use it regularly with much

improved joint mobillaty.

Best wishes

Chris
