Guest guest
Morning Alobar. Weil says diabetics should cut back on saturated fats. Got >any further info on that? I have been under the impression that >butter & coconut oil are good for me. Lots of people may like Andrew Weil. He is pleasant and knowledgeable, and a good speaker. I always watch him on TV. I read a lot of history about him sometime back and it is impressive. Without criticizing a great guy, I did in fact to his newsletter. This is the only medical related newsletter that I have ever cancelled after one year. He is a bit too mainstream for me and lots of his articles were basic and historical in nature. Likely it has improved by now. You are old enough and wise enough, that you know........ " never put all your eggs in one basket " . Normally when I post an article which I feel to be 75% great, and 25% flawed or questionable, I will put a bit of a preface upon it to let people know what I find questionable or downright wrong. Since JoAnn posted Weil's comments on diabetes without any sort of comments, I was wondering if she knew something I did not know. I try to be always open to questioning what I think I know. As JoAnn has not responded, I can only assume that she has no further info, so I shall continue to eat butter & coconut oil -- at least until such time as I find out something new which indicates my dietary approach may be flawed.
