Guest guest
Illness can be an opportunity for growth I work with clients to help them understand how every single organ in the body and every single system - from the digestive system to the brain - 'vibrates' or 'resonates' with either a positive or negative emotion. Once we accept this simple concept, we can begin to understand better how we really can help ourselves and our health by releasing those emotions which are doing us no good. If you have digestive problems, for example, you might want to think about how this part of the body is related to control and how, if that control is taken away, we can end up manifesting all kinds of digestive disorders - especially something like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). I know this will sound strange but I always think of IBS as a BONUS! The body only has one language - the language of discomfort and sickness. And when it speaks to us in this way, it is giving us the chance to put things right and to trigger the self-healing that is our birthright. Most people don't know this, but it actually takes between five and seven years for shock or trauma - spiritual and psychological - to manifest in the physical body. In other words, something that happened to you in 1995 or before could be stamping its mark on you now. Maybe, when you do get a quiet time, it is worth looking back. This is often the underlying work of the healer - that search for the root cause of sickness and then the task of alerting the client and helping them understand better how they can work with their therapist to recreate harmony and balance in their life once again. What I am really saying here is that illness, however hard or unfair it seems at the time, gives us a great opportunity for growth and change and the change to recognise what we need to leave behind in order to move forward iin life. In fact, it paves the way for the greatest form of growth. If you are reading this and you have been suffering any kind of chronic discomfort in your body, I hope this will inspire you to take back your control. You can start very simply with your environment at home and create a more healing space in which to rest and relax. Use colour and smells and anything that you like and know will work for you. Don't always put your health and faith in the hands of others. This is your body, which is being affected by your emotional wellbeing. Take the time to learn more about yourself and learn for yourself how it will pay dividends for your future health and wellbeing. http://www.whatreallyworks.co.uk/start/authorZone_articles.asp?article_ID=563 The complete " Whole Body " Health line consists of the " AIM GARDEN TRIO " Ask About Health Professional Support Series: AIM Barleygreen " Wisdom of the Past, Food of the Future " http://www.geocities.com/mrsjoguest/AIM.html Platinum - Watch CBS' NCAA March Madness, live on your desktop!
