I do think that eating fresh organic pineapple is much better than taking the

bromelain supplements but if you cannot get it then they would be fine.

Tip: Remedy of the Week: Bye-Bye to Bruises

When you get a bruise, the first thing to do is to ice it -- immediately.

This reduces the amount of swelling. It's also possible to speed up the

healing process by taking the pineapple enzyme, bromelain (available in

capsule form wherever supplements are sold). The enzyme is absorbed through

the digestive tract and promotes healing of tissue injuries. Take 200 to 400

milligrams three times a day on an empty stomach (not within two hours of

eating). A few individuals have allergic reactions to bromelain; discontinue

if you get an itching sensation. Homeopathic arnica can also help the body

recover faster from trauma. Buy Arnica montana in 30x potency, and let the

tablets dissolve under your tongue. (Do not handle them. Shake them into the

bottle cap and then toss them into your mouth.) Take four tablets

immediately, then four every hour while awake the first day. The second day,

cut back to four tablets every two hours; then four tablets four times a day.

Continue the treatment four to five days. You may also want to rub some

arnica tincture on the bruise.

This is good to know! What about scratches? I get scratches all

over me, too, from my daughter's outbursts since she is bipolar and

can get violent. I am trying to keep them from scarring, but arnica

is all I know to use.

Thanks,

Lisa

Calendula is a good homeopathic remedy to consider...

There is more I can say but am afraid it will go off topic, so write

me personally and we can go from there...

Hello Lisa

Lavendar essential oil is a good skin healer

especially if there is a chance of scarring.

Best wishes

Chris
