Coming to Washington for the Rally can be a " day trip " from points in

all of these states.

 

WE NEED WARM BODIES!!! WE NEED TO MAKE A STRONG SHOWING!!!

At the exact time of the rally, Sen. Frist, Sen. Gregg and the rest of

the HELP Committee will be marking up the bill that will determine our

children's future in the HELP Committee. Sen. Kennedy is trying

desperately to keep the VICA provisions OUT of the bill completely so

that we can address VICA in the light of day, and not in this

underhanded way. Hundreds of parents being outside the windows of the

Senate Building right where they are meeting WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

 

IF YOU THINK YOUR CHILD IS MERCURY-DAMAGED, PLEASE MAKE A SHOWING. This is

huge to be able to pay for the best care in the future for your

child.

 

We will be there to support Dan Burton's legislation and protest Bill

Frist's latest legislation. We will also be meeting with our

legislators directly following the rally. We encourage you to call

A film crew is shooting a documentary about the autism/vaccine

connection and will be filming this rally. They will be interviewing

parents so be sure to bring pictures of your beautiful kids.

 

It will be a very important event during this pivotal time.

Congressman Burton will be reintroducing his legislation that day

intended to aid thousands of our children. Many key political figures

will also be in attendance along with Dr. Boyd Haley, Lyn Redwood,

Barbara Loe Fisher and April Oakes who is sponsoring the event.

 

The rally will be held at the same place, Upper Senate Park on

Capitol Hill right next to the Russell Senate building. Here's a map:

If you look at the Russell Senate Building, we will be to the left

where that little circle is...that's the fountain. Write me if you

need more details.

 

The rally is scheduled for 10 to 1. Donuts and other refreshments

will be served along with Starbucks coffee and hot chocolate. We will

have people setting up for us this time, so we don't have to do it

ourselves like back in January. The public buildings close by have

restaurants and bathrooms in them for your comfort.

 

April Oakes is also paying for a chartered Greyhound bus to pick up

parents who live along the east coast. This is free, so if you'd like

to ride on the bus with everyone or need more info, write to April at

autism @ AutismAutoimmunityProject.org or call her at 1-800-939-TAAP.

 

We've gone ahead and blocked rooms at The Omni Shoreham Hotel which is

located right at a metro stop so we can easily get from the hotel to the

rally. The rate is $150 per night. The hotel is 2 miles from Upper

Senate Park or a $1.75 Metro ride away.
