Guest guest
Dear Readers, I oppose the " Jeff Sell " Position. It is untenable. He seems to have something to sell to us. One can obtain the profit information of the insurance companies from ones stockbroker. They are no more profitable than some other industries. They are less profitable than some industries. Why does He think We on the Internet are uninformed and will believe this propaganda. Propaganda is for the unthinking! I resent being included in a group that can be duped so easily! I presume that those who read this list are able to think for themselves. NOW HERE is a copy of the letter that I am sending to my US Congress Members: Sample Letter:March 4, 2003 Your U.S. senators Your U.S. representative Dear Member of Congress, Americans I talk to are deeply concerned about protecting their families and frightened by the steeply rising health care costs. But the unjustified, unwarranted million dollar Medical awards lottery is sending our Health Insurance costs thru the roof! Only a very few winners and a very few Attorneys get a windfall out of this practice; while more and more ordinary citizens fall below the level of those that can afford Health Insurance. Do not Believe these few ultra-rich self-serving Lawyers. Especially do not believe the untruth about the Insurance companies making a lot of money off this. One can find the profits of the insurance companies from ones stockbroker. They are no more profitable than many other industries. They are less profitable than some industries. Please support the Federally imposed one-size-fits-all cap on state malpractice compensation claims proposed by the President. Thank You, Lorenzo. --------------In case you do not wish to hunt for the " Jeff Sell " letter-------------Here is a copy. Dear Member of Congress, Americans are deeply concerned about protecting their families and rising health care costs add to these worries. But the so- called " solution " proposed by the President doesn't address the root of the problem - skyrocketing insurance costs. The real culprit is the insurance industry, which controls virtually every aspect of America's health care system and is forcing doctors to pay for its recent investment losses. The insurance lobby, one of President Bush and the Congressional leadership's biggest campaign contributors, operates with a free hand because it is exempt from anti-trust laws. The federally imposed one-size-fits-all cap on state malpractice compensation claims proposed by the President, at the behest of the insurance lobbyists, doesn't solve the health care problem. This cap won't bring down insurance premiums for doctors, which are rising fast even in states that have their own caps. Until Congress reforms the insurance laws, doctors' livelihoods and patients' lives will continue to be threatened by corporate interests that put profits over people. I urge you - on behalf of all Americans - to oppose this anti-consumer, unhealthy legislation! Thank you. Sincerely, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peacefully, Jeff Sell Hitt * Patterson * Sell 4309 Yoakum Boulevard 2nd Floor
