Guest guest
Hi all, I was looking for some help and what could help me as far as possible candida? I have had problems as far as yeast infections and have had eaten alot of breads and sugar in the past. As I was researching for help, candida come up, so wasn't sure if that might be my problem. I haven't had tests for it, but I have cut back on my sugars and breads quite a bit and have noticed this has helped with the yeast infections. I even gave up soda (that was hard!lol) except for a glass occasionally. But drinking mostly water. I have taken acidolphilus to help, but was wondering if anyone had some suggestions as to what could help? Am also having trouble losing weight..could this have something to do with candida also? Would appreciate any feedback.. Thanks in advance! Sue =)
Guest guest
Hi Sue! I've struggled with candida for years. Controling your diet, eliminating the sugars which feed candida is essential. For sweetener, try stevia, but you'll want to ween yourself off the desire for sweets. Substitute something (nonsweet) you like, when you'd like a treat. Even natural sweets like fruit or honey (read labels, even salt can contain sugar) are problematic, and feed yeast. Eliminate refined carbohydrates, and use whole grain, but you may need to reduce even this. The " Bio K " product is useful -- better than regular yoghurts for implanting friendly bacteria. You'll need to be patient, and when you're feeling better, you can cheat on rare occasions (carefully). I've found hydrogen peroxide (food grade) 6-10 drops in a glass of water, useful too -- but it's a slow process too. Good luck!
