Guest guest
Evening Misty, >> When was the last time you had a really good rip roaring debate over vitamin C? You caught me off guard on that one. Besides that is Alobar's department. <grin> If you wanted to get me into a rip roaring debate, the subject would have to be raw eggs or trailmix. Or maybe the subject that no one in the USA has died from Mad Cow Disease. The point is, most of us have some ideas that may be harder to give up than ideas on politics. Before we could solve problems and agree on political issues, a new party will have taken over, a new president, along with a complete new set of political issues. Problem is not that we need more Republicans or Democrats in Washington. I am also cynical of the various third parties as well. The political system is geared to protecting special interest groups at the expense of the individual they supposedly represent. IMO, we need people who represent the people & not the big lobbying interests who currently buy candidates. A long time ago I heard a third-hand story about an older politician instructing a younger one on ethics. The elder statesman said that an honest politician is one who remains loyal to the people who first bought him. That sure is not my idea of honesty or loyalty. Guest guest
Hi Alobar and Wayne, Ok, now you caught me off guard with raw eggs and trail mix! And I fully agree, it is not a matter of more Democrats or Republicans, I think in large they are all being controlled by special interest groups- self vested entities that do not have our wellbeing as their first and foremost concern, and as such, we need to examine issues with a discerning eye and come to our own conclusions on how best to live a healthy and happy life. I thought people tend to take political discusions more personally then discussions on health, but perhaps you have both shown me another way to view this... Thank you for the insight. Be Well, Misty http://www..com ps- would you email me privately and tell me your story about raw eggs and trail mix? That just sounds too interesting to pass up... > Evening Misty, > > >> When was the last time you had a really good rip roaring debate over > vitamin C? > > You caught me off guard on that one. > > Besides that is Alobar's department. > > If you wanted to get me into a rip roaring debate, the subject would have > to be raw eggs or trailmix. > > Or maybe the subject that no one in the USA has died from Mad Cow Disease. > > The point is, most of us have some ideas that may be harder to give up than > ideas on politics. > > Before we could solve problems and agree on political issues, a new party > will have taken over, a new president, along with a complete new set of > political issues. > > Wayne I could not agree with you more, Wayne. Guest guest
Evening Misty, >And I fully agree, it is not a matter of more Democrats or Republicans, I >think in large they are all being controlled by special interest groups- Since you have summed up the politics, and we all agree, that should limit or political discussions. >> ps- would you email me privately and tell me your story about raw eggs and trail mix? That just sounds too interesting to pass up... I did not say I eat them together. Now you have given me a new idea. My original recipe is at www.fugitt.com/trailmix.htm However, I need to update it. I have a better recipe now. One thing I have on this page is a listings of all the foods I eat with nutritional analysis. Most of the food analysis can be found by searching the USDA database.
