Guest guest
Dear Group, I have read all of the different opinions concerning politics and health. Thank you all for posting. It seems like most want politics discussed that concern health issues. It seems that today so much of health is dependent on someone's political views and decisions. The big question is what constitutes a health issue. Don't write about it, that was already part of the previous discussion, and most of you already have given your views. One thing, I will not permit is the rabid dog variety of posts on politics. Nor do I think it is particularly important what your personal political views are. Political comments should only be about a specific issue and be somewhat intelligently written and thought out. (Of course, I say that all the time about nutritional subjects too, but it doesn't deter some folks in the least. That is going to fall under these new guidlines also.) Back to the political issue... It mst be interesting from a group health viewpoint, It must be well thought out It must be polite and/or have a point that is not mainly just venting your spleen it, it will be posted. It must be an attempt to derive some fact or " truth " that affects health in our societies. For you people who want a wide open anything can be posted, go look at some groups who have been abandoned by their owners, which makes it wide open. The board fills up with absolute junk and kills it in no time. Flying saucers and other subjects mentioned are much to broad an interpretation of this discussion on politics As I have said many times on this board, you cannot please everyone and I don't even want to try. I am fortunate in one way. I don't care how many people are in this group. I am not selling anything here, so I don't lose a thing whether anyone leaves or stays. In fact, the smaller this group, the easier it is for me. I have thought very seriously of making this group back into a very small group many times. Something like 30 to 50 members. A personal site and archives for myself and a few other like minded people who give as well as take. I wouldn't have the iritation of many people that come along who don't want to take the time to learn, will not read, will not research the links page or the archives, and feel that it is my and this groups duty to do all the work for them endlessly and then turn around and dictacte as to what gets posted here and why. This is not to say don't post on personal health issues, just try and do a little basic research also. Anyway, for now, we are here and I concur that politics determines what type of medicine is avalable to us, what type of foods, air, water, supplements, etc. In reality it affects most of our life. The only question that we will have to work out is what is an acceptable degree of discussion here. I imagine that some on both sides of the aisle will not be happy sometimes. So be it. Well, on with the discussions. thanks again, Frank Gettingwell- / Vitamins, Herbs, Aminos, etc. To , e-mail to: Gettingwell- Or, go to our group site: Gettingwell Tax Center - forms, calculators, tips, and more
