We must all realize that politics, like electronics, nutrition, health and disease are broad based terms that virtually defy definition. No one can be opposed to all of the possible definitions relating to these everyday general terms. Actually, I enjoy reading many aspects of politics. At certain times of the day, I want to read about health and nutrition. >I find myself joining/unjoining lists in order to find at least ONE that >is free from politics. I must get near 20 list with 400 to 600 messages per day. Fortunately they are all filtered into the proper mailbox. The GettingWell list and one or two others are my favorite list whereas I read near 100% of the messages. To open, scan, and delete any message takes from 5 to 8 seconds at most. Often less. People that are working list with lots of traffic need to become power email users. One simply cannot handle heavy message traffic efficiently using web based email or not filtering their messages properly. >I'd be happy to join a list devoted to politics if I knew that it would be >flooded with health concern messages.
