Guest guest
Dear Frank, I am not sure why you dont want to go over Bi Polar information.. but I for one have a daughter with Bi Polar disorder and it is one of the most horrific diseases one can have.... She is at the moment having some problems and I for one would love it if the information could be discussed here.... As far as that woman getting the info and her friend that truly needs it?? Well. It is obvious that you have never been touched by such a disease... When in the manic phase they often dont want or cant get help for themselves... I give credit for that friend that is wanting info in order to help her friend... She truly is a FRIEND... I think if ANYONE has ANYTHIG to share please do so.. This is a GETTINGWELL group... and If someone can benefit then why not??? Thank you for listening. Debbie

Guest guest
Dear Frank, You said " She is at the moment having some problems and I for one would love it if the information could be discussed here.... " It is being discussed here and has been discussed here almost since the group has been founded. And if you want the information please discuss it all that you want. The reason why I wrote in the first place was I thought you were blowing her off... I think as a group if something needs to be discussed it should be brought up with out someone saying look back in the archives... Yes they are a valuable resource but ... as long as someone have something else to add to a subject what is wrong with that? You not only put words into my mouth that I never said now you assume that you know about me, my life, my family, my experiences, what ???. You don't know anything about me or my experiences. You are absolutely correct about that.... I dont know you at all.. If I was harsh I truly apologize... This subject hits very close to home and I have been dealing with my daughters progression of this disease daily for over 4 years..... Enough said, Debbie
Guest guest
Dear Debbie, First off I wish you would not put words into my mouth that I never said. Secondly, If you are going to answer someone else's message, you include that original message with your answer, so it becomes much harder to misconstrue what the other person said. I have cut and pasted my original message after yours here as it should have been in your message so they can be compared which is standard on this group and any others I have seen. What I did say, was that due to the size of hundreds, if not many hundreds of messages posted on the subject, it would be impossible to cover it again in full because of the size of the amount of information, not because I didn't want it discussed. I felt that if she really wanted to get as much as possible, she should search the archives and read the hundreds of messages by me and others in addition to anything said in response to her message now. That also goes for looking at the links section. Since I probably posted the bulk of the messages about that subject, if I didn't want that subject discussed, I wouldn't have taken the time and effort to post the hundreds of messages in the first place. You said " She is at the moment having some problems and I for one would love it if the information could be discussed here.... " It is being discussed here and has been discussed here almost since the group has been founded. And if you want the information please discuss it all that you want. But, did you take the time to search the archives and the links section also or are you just demanding that I repost them all again too? Do to the size that is impossible. As for my comment about her friend (who is diagnosed bipolar and wanting to get off 5 medications) needing to learn about her own " disease " , I still think it is true that she is the one who needs to learn because it is a difficult process and she would be doing it without a lot of help from the established medical people. It is a long, slow, hard road she is starting on and to do it safely and come out the other end whole and no longer needing medications and be rebalanced with nutrients is almost necessary that she become self educated on the matter. It is admirable that someone wants to help their friend but I think it is her own self education about these medications and nutrients that will save her in the end. Can she help her friend by guiding her to the right areas? Yes, of course. If the people are educated about the medications and the symptoms of their condition and it's possible remedies they recognize what is happening to them and can take corrective action rather than just becoming more upset. The person needs to be self empowered, not just subject to the opinions of doctors or friends only. That is why this whole group was founded and that goes for all diseases. You said " > Well. It is obvious that you have never been touched by such a disease...: You not only put words into my mouth that I never said now you assume that you know about me, my life, my family, my experiences, what ???. You don't know anything about me or my experiences. Do not say anything about me or what my life experiences are unless you know what you are talking about. I would never do that about you, your family, or experiences, etc. Frank Gettingwell , Peaches14845@a... wrote: > Dear Frank, > I am not sure why you dont want to go over Bi Polar information.. but I for > one have a daughter with Bi Polar disorder and it is one of the most horrific > diseases one can have.... Yes they are > a valuable resource but ... as long as someone have something else to add to > a subject what is wrong with that? My answer.... Nothing is wrong with that. I hope that the problems with psychtropic drugs and the damage caused by them, and the whole dangerous practices used by the medical establishment are discussed here continually and on all of the groups on the web and in all of the media utill it becomes common knowledge in our societies. I have posted hundreds of articles here on the problems involved and quite a few on possible solutions using nutrients, herbs etc. Others have posted quite a few in the same veins also, and I hope they continue doing so. The messages posted were on mental illness although some may have said depression, manic depressive, bi-polar, anxiety etc. or they may have been on the medications usually involved like antidepressants, benzodiazapines, etc. The treatment for all of these so called " diseases " is very similiar whether using traditional meds or alternative methods. So the article might be on scizophrenia, depression, bipolar or whatever, but in alternative treatment the remedies are usually pretty much the same. Considering what you told us about your situation, I assumed that you must be fairly new to the group when you assumed that I didn't want mental illness to be discussed in the group, as we probably discuss mental illness, drugs and alternative treatments probably more than almost any other group on , then when I look to our member list, I see that you have been a member for something like 15 months now so I was further confused that you would have this idea or that you may have missed all of those posts made by all of the members. I hope that you and all of the members add to what has already been said or to even cover it all again if they want to. Possibly I should have explained myself more fully in my original reply to the other person. I personally am a little tired now and somewhat burned out of posting the same things over and over when it seems not that many people get the information and then almost act like it is never been covered. That coupled with the fact that if you post a long article written by someone who is knowledgeable in the field you get complaints. I am starting to seriously wonder if it wothwhile for me personally to try and provide information as complete as I once believed, although I welcome all other members to do so. more than enough said, Frank
