Seems the title was, " Why we will never win the war on AIDS " , or similar. A group of doctors were working for an insurance company in order to establish rates for AIDS patients. Lots of strange things happened as a result of this study. Likely I have some documents on this but they all exist on the internet. In addition, some research done by Dr. W. C. Douglass is interesting. He established a clinic in Africa to treat an study AIDS. I can't remember which book it was. Possibly the one titled, " Into the Light " . or maybe his book on H2O2. Guest guest
Hi there! I have Douglass' book about Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation Therapy (photo-oxydation), and we have a Clinical Trial nearing 2 years, with this therapy, here in Vancouver. The cases in the book suggest it should be helpful with AIDS, and the lab results with only about a dozen guys, once-weekly treatments, over 6 months, show it has some usefulness. I've spoken to a researcher who's used photo-oxidation in Africa, with several other treatments, and results are dramatic. Alone, I don't think U.B.I.T. is sufficient. Our small patient sample makes it difficult to assess properly, particularly as each were in a different stage of disease progression, though all were retroviral naive. It may be that the treatment has held back disease progression, improvements have been small, but present. We do another session tomorrow, coincidently. Treatments have been once-monthly over the last year and a half. I suspect U.B.I.T. has its place in some sort of combined therapy for AIDS. What is so unique about what we're doing, is that this is a community-based Trial, initiated by PWA's. These sorts of Trials have been done by community groups since the beginning of the epidemic. Guest guest
Hi! The book is " Into the Light " Tomorrow's Medicine Today, by William C. Douglass, MD. It's available through Artisan Publishers: www.artisanpublishers.com It's a good book to understand the treatment, photo-oxidation (ultraviolet blood irradiation therapy), with case histories that are about 60 yrs. old, mostly done in a Philadelphia hospital. Only a small portion of blood (5%) is withdrawn for treatment, passing through a quartz tube for exposure to ultraviolet light. It takes less than 10 minutes. Hope this helps.
