Ah lemon balm, yes! This plant is willing to grow just about anywhere

in my postage stamp size, in the shadow of tall buildings garden. Its

more bushy than flowering, grows to about 2 feet tall and reseeds

itself well. One can instantly recognise it by its lemony scent.

And best of all, taking daily clippings for teas and salads doesn't

seem to bother it one bit.

Run a google to see what at its good for and then I highly recommend

people order some for their landscaping this year. (Seed catalogs are

being mailed out this time of year so its not too early to be planning

this.)

For those who live in apartment buildings, this plant might be too big

for a window pot but a balcony pot might be enough room for it. Some

of the apartment building landlords in my Chicago neighborhood let the

tenants do plantings in the building's landscaping (probably because

the landlords are too lazy to care about the landscaping themselves

;-)
