Guest guest
Hi Cheri, There is no definitive test for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, but the Epstein Barr test is often used as an indicator of that problem. I was given the same information as you about twenty years ago. To my knowledge, I never had mono, but I have certainly been battling CFS these last two decades. Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I just got back from the doctors office. He told me I tested positive for Eppstein-Barr virus. What exactly does this mean? He said I must have had mono in the past. ?? Did anyone else test positive for this? If so, what do you do about it. This doctor couldn't really give me any answers. I think he was surprised with my test results. Please forward any info to me. Thanks. Cheri
Guest guest
I am not an expert but I would have to say that there are probably a lot of people that have mono and never known it. It is very much like the flu. I had it when I was in the 8th grade ( many years ago ) I probably would not have known had I not fainted at school and had to go to the doctor. I recently tried to find info on the Internet and came out being just as confused about it. The one thing I did read was identical to what your doctor said about people who have Epstien Barr Virus have had a case of mono in the past. Please share if you find anything. I found more info in " The Nutritional Healing Bible " I bought at Krogers than on the net.

Some information is suppressed on the internet, and everywhere else. In other cases, no one knows anything to tell. Even when you find something, it is based on hear-say evidence. My daughter did have it in her early teens. Wayne
Guest guest
I was diagnosed with Epstein-Barr and/or CFS about 14 years ago, by an orthodox medical practitioner. She said that there were a number of viruses similar to E-B that if present would produce a positive test result. She didn't know any treatments, and I didn't have the money to go get vitamin C drips or anything like that. So I just started reading alternative medicine books and experimenting on myself. I found that 1 or 2 cloves of fresh garlic, juiced together with carrot, made me feel stronger within an hour and I so I kept on with it. In only one month I cured my acute attack, although my immune system was kind of down for awhile. I'm healthier now than I was 14 years ago, almost never get sick, and eat raw garlic with nearly every meal. It sounds like a drastic thing to do, but fresh raw garlic is just about one of the most potent medicines around. If you're interested in trying it, don't buy any garlic products, pills or capsules at the health food store. Virtually any kind of processing of the garlic destroys the active principle, no matter how they say they do it. The raw stuff is cheap, available everywhere, and it works.
