Full Spectrum Lights and Vitamin D

Hi Wayne, I have had full spectrum lights for the last 2 1/2 winters and can

confirm that they do indeed work. I used to get very low during the winter

but since having these lights I have been a lot better. I don't use a

lightbox I have full spectrum lights in every room in the house. I have a

5ft flourescent light in the kitchen plus an 18 " under cupboard light, a lamp

and the main light in the lounge, the main light in the bathroom, 2 bedrooms

have FS lights (the 3rd is a junk room but will be given a 'makeover' this

spring so a FS will go in there

, plus 3 lights in the hall/stairs which have FS bulbs in them. I am

completely covered with this, the bulbs that I have are also energy savers so

I save money and stay doubly happy - I also try to get out in the natural

sunlight (ha! when we get any here in the UK) every day.

Hope this helps.

Marianne

If you spend 2 hours a day under one of these lights, you will definitely

reap the benefit and it does not take that long for it to work. Cannot

remember that far back but I am sure it was a matter of just a couple of

weeks.

Has anyone had any positive results using full spectrum lights during the

low light periods of winter?

Tons of information indicates that natural Vitamin D is many times more

valuable than most supplements.

I am planning to install two units, one in my office over my desk and one

in the house where I sit and read.

An hour of two in these places might offer some benefit.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi Chris - I cannot remember the name of them but the telephone number is

01494484851, they are in High Wycombe. They post nationwide and they also

attend a lot of the MBS shows, a quick call and they will let you know where

they are next. I know that they will probably be at the MBS at Kempton Park,

Sunbury on Thames 29 February for 3 or 4 days.

I will continue to try and find the web site and will post it as soon as or

if I do.

Hello Marianne,

I'm in the U.K.too. Where did you get your

lightbulbs from. I have a neice who is quite miserable

in the winter and I would like to pass the information

on.

Thanks Chris.
