Guest guest
I took the recipes out of the Herbal Remedies files Ed. I think most people don't bother to look at the files--ever. I've never used glycerine, only vodka. I hear that it doesn't last as long in glycerine, but is a good substitute for people who really can't have a few drops of alcohol tinc in a small glass of water(which is all we take, its never slugged down by the bottleful..can you believe people actually ask me if I get drunk on my tinctures??? Yeah, on a few drops....sure!!!) LOL!!!! Guest guest
Weeeelllllllllll oooooooooooopps! Didn't realize you'd already answered up on this Elaine so I answered it too. Another thing to take into consideration is: When you make a tincture, you lose some of the alcohol potency due to the extraction of the bio-chemicals from the herbs themselves. In essence, there is more alcohol in a ripe banana than there is in one dropperful of a tincture even when made with 100 proof Vodka. If one is sensitive to even this small amount, then the best way to handle it is to shoot your dropperful into a cup of steaming hot herbal tea. You'll see a puff as almost all of the alcohol evaporates off in seconds.
