Herbal eye relief?

Hello list,

My name is Fabeku, a new member of the list. I have joined a few

times in the past, but have returned again with some hope that

perhaps someone here can assist me.

I am having a reoccuring problem with my eyes. They become red, itchy

and have excess mucus (or what appears to be mucus) in them. They

flare up once a week or so and then go back to normal. During these

periods of time I am not exposed to anything different than usual, so

I don't believe it's some environment factor. I also have no

allergies that I am familiar with.

Is there a simple herbal eye wash that can be prepared to ease this

condition? I have only very, very basic herbal knowledge and

experience, so I'm hoping for something as simple as possible.

I used to get this condition as a child often, but the name of it

escapes me. The doctor would prescribe medicated eye drops and the

condition would clear within a few days.

I am at a point where allopathic medicine has caused me more harm

than good and I feel that herbal treatments are closer to where I

wish to be these days.

I appreciate your help in advance.

Kind thanks,

Fabeku

Dear Fabeku,

The Eye Formula in the files should do the trick for you. Three to Ten drops in distilled water in an eyecup for a couple of minutes each day for a few weeks and you'll be amazed.

Love,

I used to get this a lot when i lived in Denver. There are certain weather

patterns that will cause eye problems like this to flare up in some people.

Actually when i quit drinking or eating anything with Aspartame, or

Nutri-Sweet in it, my eye problems went away and have only rarely happened

since then.

You can make a great eyewash with Eyebright tea. Just brew it like any tea,

and then use cotton balls to dab it on your eyes. You don't need much at a

time, and the tea doesn't need to be very strong.
