Guest guest
I'm glad to find a nice busy group that is herb focused! I live in the low desert were we have lots of heat and sometimes high winds. Doesn't stop our wild spearmint from poking through the rocks! Be well! Mystik
Guest guest
Mystik--At least you have found the wild spearmint in your area. I still have not found it here in Florida..we're supposed to have wild Rosemary also, and it just drives me nuts to know its here somewhere and I can't find it YET. My poor husband really hates it when I'm herb hunting and he's trying to get someplace. My favorite thing to do is wander along the roadsides checking out the herbs. I found wild Pennyroyal and made the most delicious tea out of it, then found out that you're not supposed to have very much of it or it can give you liver damage... but it REALLY tastes good. Guest guest
Dear Elaine, I know that Pennyroyal should NEVER be taken by pregnant women as it is an emmenagogue (promotes menstrual bleeding), but I've never heard that it can cause liver damage. Where did you get this data??? Love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington - Elaine Davis herbal remedies Friday, June 07, 2002 8:47 PM Re: [herbal remedies] hi all!
