Guest guest
I havent posted in here for awhile...but I wanted some advice on losing weight. I have a thyroid disorder and take medicine for it. I have tried to change the way I eat.....but seem to stay right at the same wieght no matter what I try. It's hard to because I have trouble with my sugar(hypoglycemic)....so if I dont eat something I get sick. Would any of you recommend fasting? I have been reading up on it and trying to decide if I want to try it. If so...how do I go about starting a fast. Any information would be appreciated. I have never done it.....so be specific. Guest guest
Fasting is wonderful but is never to be taken lightly. One must be prepared emotionally, spiritually, mentally and physically before fasting. It is a very holistic method, and although it can benefit weight loss when done properly it should not be done solely for the idea of losing weight. However, before I would recommend any kind of therapy or treatment I would have to ask what your diet presently consists of? What do you eat? Do you eat processed foods? Prepackaged foods? Junk foods? Snack foods? Meats? What kind? Lots of pasta and starchy foods? What do you drink? Sodas? Coffee? Teas? Juices? Water? What type of exercising do you currently do and how often? How are your sleeping habits? What type of work do you do? Do you use alcohol? Do recreational drugs? Any other types of medications besides the thyroid meds? Do you use tobacco? Have you consulted a naturopath? Homeopath? It is very difficult to, at least for me, tell someone what they want to hear without knowing some background information. I mean ethically I just can't offer advice without knowing you. Sure I can tell you to take all kinds of things but how is that going to reflect on me and is it really doing justice to you. Be in peace and light and may you find the true help you need and not necessarily what you want.
