Two possibilities, among several that i don't have time to write up.

1. Even though you are taking the right things, they are not in balance

with each other. Calcium and magnesium in particular need to be in a ratio

of about 3 parts calcium to 2 parts magnesium, and also combined with a

number of other minerals in very small amounts. (Hope i'm correct on that.)

What is EPO?

2. You are taking exactly the right things, and they are dislodging

junk that's been adhering to various parts of your body. That junk is

getting into your joints temporarily on its way out. In that case, a half

cup of apple cider vinegar (Bragg's is probably the best brand) each day

should help clear things up.

I have rhuematoid arthritis and when I eat or drink something that I have a sensativity to, my joints ache. Also, if I have over done some excercises. I have found out that certain foods will aggrivate my RA such as, shell fish, alchohol, red meat, MSG, dairy (in moderation) and some processed foods.

Have you been testes for RA?

Are you starting an excercise program?

Kristen,

I too have RA, and while I've learned of lots of things to avoid, I'm finding

very little help in natural remedies on dealing with the disease itself.

Do you or anyone else here have info on what things would be beneficial

for people with immune systems gone awry?

I have lots of ways of controlling pain and inflammation, but almost no

information on telling the immune system to give it a rest.

Thanks,

Sara

You've hit the crux of the problem. These days, it seems like many immune

systems are going awry in a variety of ways. Doctors can't keep up with what's

happening, and so the diagnoses are vague and the treatments often harmful.

There is a convergence of several factors, and these need to be sorted out.

Humans have been living long enough to get arthritis for just a short time,

really only about 100 years for the most part. Anthropologists have dug up and

analyzed bones dating all the way back to the beginning (whenever that was) that

exhibit characteristic patterns of this. In all the years humans have been

around, then, people have apparently been searching for a cure, either natural

or unnatural. One universal cure for various types of arthritis has not yet

been found anywhere.

But i don't want to leave people hopeless. I have seen indications that several

techniques could work, if we keep researching. One set of techniques appears to

come from Ayurvedic medicine, where nutrition is the foundation, based on what

is needed for various body types. Therefore, it is good for anyone dealing with

this condition to get basic information on that subject.

Acupuncture is worth trying. I have had a close association with an excellent

acupuncturist for many years, and so have gotten to see how it works from the

inside, witnessing many treatments in a small clinic. Usually these treatments

are accompanied by herbal prescriptions, again based on body types but with

specific techniques drawn from a different viewpoint than Ayurvedic medicine.

Another very promising avenue is electromedicine. Due to massive government

corruption, much of what is already known cannot be easily used. It does not

benefit giant pharmaceutical companies who own many politicians all over the

world. Therefore, we must do what we can to promote the political idea of

health freedom. Even though electromedicine is not natural, and thus is very

close to being off topic for this list, it is an area worthy of study if you are

experiencing any condition that is not responding to conventional medical care

or to herbal remedies.

Environmental handling is also a worthwhile area of study. It is unfortunate

that many practitioners with extensive knowledge have had to abandon this field

in recent years due to poor financial conditions. This is a waste. I have seen

cases of arthritis improve in some cases when environmental problems have been

handled. Sometimes it can be a design problem in a home which causes people to

lock up certain muscles, triggering a cascading set of reactions which then

appears to be very much like arthritis caused by other factors.

All of these take study, but then that's what this list is for.
