Guest guest
Last night some friends of mine where having a discussion and a person sitting across the table asking if there was a better way to deal with seasonal Anxiety rather than take Zanix once in awhile. I made the comment I thought there should be away to do so using some of recommendations on this list. A valued friend sitting next to me stated taking Zanix and using some homegrown herbal makes no difference to the body. One is as good as the other. To say the least I was highly disappointed with his comments. He stated they all have side effects. It almost felt like a put down or another way for him to justify using what he does….. Question: Does the body ‘know’ the difference between chemicals made in a lab or chemicals grown in a field? How would “IT’ know? Guest guest
Dear Willy, Wellllllllllllll, if I'd been there, I'd have quoted Richard Bach's famous line to him. "Argue for your limitations, and sure enough, they're yours" ;o) The difference between the lab chems and nature's is that one is inorganic and the other organic, or one is chemical and the other is bio-chemical. All the difference in the world. When nature converts chemicals into bio-chemicals through plants, they become utilizable by us humans ;o) It's like taking egg shells in the Lemon Egg formula, and having an easy assimilation by your body, or eating rocks (limestone) and having NO assimilation whatsoever. Our body uses lower life forms in order to get the nutrients we need to survive. Suggest to your "friend" that he stop eating "food" and start eating DIRT ) After all, the same minerals are in each. And send me his name and address, I'd like to take out an insurance policy on him with me as his beneficiary. LOL. Guest guest
Another way to look at this is a quote from an old hillbilly many years ago, which i found in a magazine article. Don't remember the exact reference. " The way you modern doctors go about researching herbs, is like you take the engine out of a Model T Ford, take it all apart, then dump all the parts in the trunk and expect it to work again. " Most herbs contain a complex of different chemicals, each of which does little or nothing on its own. Only when they are all together in context, will they work. Pure lab chemicals work the way they do, because they are usually in some way a shock to the physical body. As for Xanax, mentioned in Willy's original post, it is regarded even by psychiatrists as being more addictive than heroin. Very dangerous stuff!
