Guest guest
Be a responsible netizen! CHECK AND SEE if things are hoaxes before passing them around! For those who don't know, the whole purpose of these hoaxes is to get people to mass-mail them around, slowing down email servers and wasting equipment space. (Hence, the best and most common hoaxes are false virus-warnings and fake pity-trips, like an email about a lost child that conveniently has a huge picture file attached...) IMO, part of the responsibility of having email is to make sure that you are not propogating these hoaxes, even if they succeed in making you want to email them around. There are many sites you can cross-check things like this on; here's my favorite: http://hoaxbusters.ciac.org/HBHoaxIndex.html --Sara T. httpd://www.boredmail.com
