Guest guest
Cheryl, yes I most certainly add the red clover blossoms to my pots of tea. I am VERY sparing with them, because I know I don't have a source for any more of them. Wish they grew here in Florida, but my dad said he's grown old trying to put enough lime in the soil to make clover grow in this area, and its not worth the aggravation. love, Elaine - Mountainlady herbal remedies Friday, May 24, 2002 2:20 AM [herbal remedies] Re: I Eat Weeds/make medicine Well, Elaine, I'm not really devoting much time to learning about and harvesting my wild edibles. I should be, but there's always so much to do. I am gardening full-time right now. I did root up a large mullein plant and potted it in a five-gallon container just so I would have it close by. And I am behind on picking those red clover blossoms like I did last year. Did you ever make a tea out of the ones I sent you? It was so sweet and delicious that I simply must get out there and pick another year's supply of that most beneficial (and delicious) herb! I'm so glad to hear about your love of identifying and using herbs and hope the very best in your research and writing endeavors. But hope that you get sick I DO NOT!!
